IMPORTANT NOTE:
It is unlikely your EHC died on it's own. In many, many cases a defective OEM charging system has caused the issue/s. It is a well know issue with the late 04 and up BDs. In addition your bike may have a/some shorts and wiring issues that need immediate addressing as well. Please do not just purchase the EHC, yank it out of the wrapper and throw it in hoping it will solve your issue/s. It may temporarily resolve the symptoms the bike is displaying but it will not repair the underlying issue/s that caused the symptoms/failure in the first place. WSW is here to assist you in getting your BD back on the road and reliable but it is not magic. It takes some due dilignece and a little work in most cases to get your ride back in shape and reliable.

Don't hack up your Big Dog wiring or rip everything out just to keep riding it? Your Big Dog's electrical harness was manufactured with quality AeroSpace grade materials so don't let anyone tell you your Big Dog electrical system is trash or dangerous because it isn't. Like any system if you install it and maintain it correctly it will take care of you.

Remove your old EHC, remove the D-Sub connecotrs, plug the two d-sub connectors into the new EHC and gently tighten the mounting screws, for later models you will remove the mounting grometts in the battery box that were used for the OEM EHC, clean the area with acetone or alcohol, remove the backing for the velcro tape, drop in the new EHC and press it down firmly to secure the velcro tape to the battery box. Thats it! Go out and ride. There are some additional items you will want to do though to make your ride reliable electrically.
Electronik has made many improvements to the EHC to prevent many of the issues the OEM BD EHCs had. In addition they have stripped out all the Service/Warranty bloat that lived in the OEM BD EHC. Less junk, fewer problems.
2 year manufacturer's warranty, only applicable if the Big Dog OEM Charging System has been replaced with a WSSW's own charging kit we have assembled or a CompUFire or Cycle Electric system. A huge percentage of the Big Dog OEM VRs are defective and have been the leading cause of electronic component failure in the Big Dogs. Carb bikes can use the 32 amp systems. EFI bikes have higher voltage reuqirements and should use the 3 phase 38 amp system.
The EHC in this listing is for Carb bikes only.
This unit will work with the newer BD EHCs with the reverse D-Sub connectors. If your connectors fit into your existing EHC, as in the below image, then you are good to go. Otherwise you will have to send your old EHC to WSW so we can change out the D-Sub shells for you. There is no extra charge for this service.
Note: If you have a Big Dog factory air ride system then you will have to put in an alternate switch to control the air ride.
